Over the weekend, MOUNTIES had 8 teams playing in the Grand Final.

Congratulations to the following teams for winning the Grand Final and Premiership:

U14-4B

U14-4G

AAM-5

AAM-6

AAM-8

The other 3 games were very close calls, with the U12-2 losing in extra time, when the referee awarded a penalty against Mounties, who ended up losing 1-0. The U14-2 lost 2-1 after taking a early lead, and the U15-2 lost in a Penalty Shootout and should consider themselves very, very unlucky.

Absolutely!

We need people with all sorts of skills and talents and we welcome any assistance you can provide. There is a vast range of things to be done before, during and after the season to get the kids and adults on the field each week. Come and have some fun and meet some new people, or catch up with those you’ve known for some time.

So if you want to play a bigger part in the running of Mounties Junior Soccer, come along to our AGM on 9th November or have a chat to another Committee member for more information. If you are really serious, fill out a nomination form (attached). Don't worry, if you do join, you won't be left to fend for yourself. There will be plenty of support and people around you all working towards the same goal.

The following positions make up the 2016 Junior Soccer Committee. Don't be afraid to nominate for a position if you think you have what it takes.

-President

-Secretary

-Assistant Secretary

-Treasurer

-Vice President

-Competition Secretary

-Registrar

-Assistant Registrar

-Equipment Officer

-Publicity Officer

-Social Secretary

-Canteen Supervisor

-Mini Coordinator

-Junior Coordinator

-Senior Coordinator

End of Season Awards and Reports for Season 2015 PDF Print E-mail
Written by Charlie Fusco
Thursday, 16 July 2015 11:17

As the end of the season is fast approaching, I want to take the time to remind everyone to start thinking about their teams player awards and also their end of season team report to go into the Mounties Junior Soccer annual Journal.

There are 3 awards for each team. These iinclude BEST PLAYER, TEAM MEMBER and MOST IMPROVED. For teams in the Under 18 and above, there are only 2 awards for each team. They are BEST PLAYER and PLAYER'S PLAYER (or team Player). These nominations should be in no later than 3rd August 2015. If they are not received by then, players may miss out.

You can also start writing out your Team Report to go in the Annual Journal that is handed to every player at the Presentation. This Journal contains photos of every team (already have these) with a brief report written by each coach or manager. This report can be around half a page of writing. You can write about how good the team went or brief description of the players. If you need some help, see a committee member down at the Park who can show you a Journal from last year to give you some idea. These reports should be in no later than 22nd August 2015. Some exceptions will be considered.

A reminder to competitive teams that Semi Finals start on 1st August 2015.
