Closure of Soccer Season 2021

  • Print
  • Email
We have known for a while it was probably going to happen this way, even though we were hopeful otherwise.

To all our Members, thank you very much for your efforts and sweat and dedication in Season 2021.

You will see in the attached letter that SDSFA has called a close to the season. There will be no awarding of Premierships. It would have been more fulfilling to see out the season, but it reminds us that we don’t control the universe. All we can do is our best effort, every week and each day!
I am sure that all of our players and coaches improved their skills this year – let’s face it, most of life is outside of our control but our effort and dedication is what we can control, to be the best we can be. That’s all anyone can ask of us, or we ask of ourselves.

The Mounties Junior Soccer Committee would like to thank all our Members for helping make the Club what it is – our players, our wonderful coaches and managers and our parents and carers. Keep practising (at home…) and we look forward to being able to get out on the park again!!! We will keep in touch and let you know when we have news to communicate. Take care all.

Mounties Wanderer's SAP coach passed on some training routines that young players can do on their own or with a friend/sibling during school holidays / lockdown.

SAP is focussed on players during the SKills Acquisition phase of their soccer journey, usually aged 9-12, but these activities are suitable for a wide range of ages.

Pick three days to train - for example, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

Pick three practises off this video to do per day:
